Welcome to Professor Caitlyn McFuzz's office, muggle studies professor and Hufflepuff head of house. Come in to talk to the friendly professor, just don't make fun of her name!

Kildara walked up to the door, and knocked. She'd just realised she hadn't really got any time to talk to the new Muggle Studies professor. Kildara had been sick while all the hiring had taken place. She waited patiently for Caitlyn to answer the door.

Caitlyn looked up from her notes when there was a knock on the door. "Come in." She said happily, wondering who might wish to talk to her.

Kildara heard Caitlyn call out, so she pushed the door open slowly, sticking her head around it. "Caitlyn, are you busy?" she asked. "I just wanted to have a chat. I realised I didn't really get to talk to you when you were hired, I wasn't very well. If you're not busy, maybe we can talk?" She gave her a smile.

Caitlyn stood when the headmistress came into her office. "I'm not busy, I was just going over class notes headmistress." She said and offered her the empty seat in front of the desk. "I'm sorry you were ill, I'm glad you are feeling better."

Kildara smiled. "Caitlyn, please, sit down. And call me Kildara. Headmistress is just so ... formal. Thank you, I'm getting better. Losing a child isn't always easy, on both the body and mind. I don't think the mind ever gets over it. My body's recovering though," she said, trying a smile. "I just wanted to talk. I like talking," she laughed. "If that's not noticable. Tell me a little about yourself."

Caitlyn sat back in her chair and nodded. "I'm so sorry to hear that head...Kildara, I can only imagine how hard it must be." She looked at her boss with sympathy. "There's not much to say about me. I was raised by my muggle father. My witch mother died during child birth." She said without a hint of sadness, why cry over someone you never met? At least thats how she saw it.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I can't imagine growing up without a mother. Mind you, it would probably be better than my upbringing. I had a mother, but she didn't exactly care. I was raised by house-elves and governesses. Are you sure that's all? Surely there's more to Caitlyn McFuzz than that," she said, giving the other woman an encouraging smile.

Caitlyn nodded agreeing to her sadness. "I'm sorry to hear that, I do have to admit growing up without a mother is worse than what you have been through." Even without her mother she had a wonderful and happy childhood and a teenager. "Pretty much, I don't exactly have an interesting life. Pretty boring, hind Why I'm teaching the most boring class." She joked, she wasn't fascinated by the way muggles lived, mostly since that was how she grew up. "What about you head... Kildara?"

"What about me? You want to know about me? There's nothing really to know that hasn't already been in the Daily Prophet. Absolutely nothing at all. I hate that stupid newspaper. And it's dodgy reporters always following me around." Kildara shrugged. "So yeah. Not much that you probably don't already know."

"Yes the prophet is out of its mind. I never read it, it's made up of alot of sadness and i'd rather not hear about depressing reports." She told her boss honestly. "If you asked me what todays headlines were about, I wouldn't be able to tell you."

Kildara smiled. "Well, that's good. I have to read it. Part of my job. Unfortunately, I have to read about myself in there as well. Most people would be ecstatic to be in the paper. But, not if they're me. People just can't seem to let go of the past." She shrugged her shoulders. Caitlyn didn't read the paper, this could be the beginnings of a good friendship.

"I'm sorry to hear that, I personally can't stand people who hold grudges, it annoys me." She told Kidara. She never did understand why people act like they did. "What have you been up to recently? Must be a busy woman to be a headmistress of the school."

Kildara shrugged. "There's a lot of things I fill out, and keep records of, like money and stuff. Magesta just bought new school brooms. A new Firebolt for each student, engraved with their names. Nice touch. And the brooms needed updating. I think if teachers are going to keep spending like that, money's going to have to start coming out of my vault. But, other than all that, nothing much, to be honest. Don't really have much free time. What have you been up to? Got all your lessons planned out?"

Caitlyn raised an eyebrow, sure she didn't know much about brooms or quidditch, but that did sound expensive. "Maybe you should give everyone a budget?" She suggested. She shrugged at her question. "Not much really, I just live day by day a boring life." She laughed softly and looked at her papers. "I have a few of them done, but not all of them."
