Danika shook her head, shrugging her shoulders. "It seems Mel has changed him. Whether it's for the good or bad, I don't know. Let's just hope he doesn't go too soft," she reasoned. He had been sort of wierd since he'd started with Mel.

Alex walked down to the common and shook his head at the conversation Dani and Michelle were having. he walked over and sat down next to his little sister, throwing an arm over her shoulder. "Having fun talking about me?" he asked smirking at Dani.

Danika laughed as Alex walked up. "Yes actually. We were having great fun! Weren't we Michelle?" she said, returning his smirk.

Michelle watched Alex come in right on cue and smiled, "hey Alex and yeah we were Dani" she laughed, "what you been up to?" she asked, looking at the arm he put around her shoulder, "Alex.. no touchy" she said flicking his arm.

Alex watched both the girls and rolled his eyes, "Nothing out of the normal, picking on little gryffindors, hanging out. You know the normal" he said in a casual voice, "and what about you? little sis?" he looked as she flicked his arm and pulled her closer to him, "oh yes, touchy"

Danika watched the exchange between the two siblings and laughed. Sometimes she wished she'd had that. But she'd always had people that mucked around with her like that. Ceallach could always be called upon for some sisterly affection, for example. And Alex was like her brother anyways. "Shouldn't you be being nice to Gryffindors now?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.

Michelle smiled, "so he hasn't gone too soft" she said to Dani and turned back to her brother, "nothing much... hang out... with my boyfriend" she said softly and looked over at Dani she had no idea how her brother would react to that.

Alex looked at his sister and Dani for a second, "just cause i'm with Mel doesn't mean I'm nice to them all" he shrugged again when Michelle called him soft. He looked at Michelle again, "your boyfriend?" he said loudly, "who is he? what year and house?" he asked in the same tone.

Danika's eyes widened as Michelle said she'd been hanging out with her boyfriend. Oh dear! She watched Alex's reaction, and sat up on the couch she'd been lying on, waiting for an outburst. She was going to support Michelle in every way, even though she didn't particularly like her choice of boyfrfiend. She had every right to date someone.

Michelle rooled her eyes and looked over at Dani with the 'I told you so' face. "Yeah, my boyfriend. His name's Elijah and he's a sixth year, slytherin" she answered and rolled her eyes. Cue over protective brother as soon as she mentions a boyfriend.

Alex removed his arm from Michelles shoulder and frowned, "What the hell Michelle!" he shouted. A slytherin too, they were the worse boyd, even he knew that! "No slytherins!" he shouted again and sighed. "Do you know this guy Dani?"

Danika shrugged her shoulders. Both herself and Michelle were younger than Alex, and he listened to neither of them. There really was nothing Danika would be able to do.

Danika tried to hide her surprise when Alex spoke to her. "Umm. Yeah. He's ... nice. He's a sweetie," she said, not really knowing if she sounded convincing or not. "Okay, I know him. He's nice. He's sweet, or can be. He's a transfer from Durmstrang. Alex, she has the right to date anyone she wants. For godsake, we let you date Mel. Come on. Cut the poor girl some slack!" she said, in defensive sister mode.

Michelle looked at her brother a little shocked, no slytherins? yeah he was one to talk, he was a slytherin too. She looked over at Dani hoping she wouldn't tell Alex the truth about Elijah. She let out a sigh of relief when she did lie.

Alex looked at Danika for a second before calming down, "yeah, you're right" she muttered and relaxed again, "but if he hurts her, I will kill him" he added and saw Michelle roll her eyes from the corner of his eye.

Danika breathed a sigh of relief. "Alex, she's 15 now, give her a little more leash to work with. She's not going to turn out like me. I'll make sure of that. Are you, Michelle?" she said, turning her deep blue eyes on Michelle, hoping she agreed. "Sometimes I'm glad I don't have siblings." She muttered.
