Professor Pettigrew's Office

[Emilia Pettigrew]

You walk into a cozy little room, with the smell of different potions lingering around. Here and there you can see a few bottles, containing something only professor Pettigrew knows. There is a small desk and two armchairs in the room. Not forgetting a small fireplace. Just be sure to knock before you enter!

Emilia crawled into her office and fell to the ground. Dirt was dripping everywhere from her. She curled up on the ground and sobbed like a baby. She was aching all over and her vision was blurry. She closed her eyes and tried not to think about the pain she had caused o everyone, but she couldn't shield herself from those thoughts.

Simon didn't like being down in the dungeons. He was an outdoors person and this place made him feel claustrophobic and oppressed. But he had to do this. He walked up to Emilia's door and knocked, part of him hoping there would be no reply. But he had to see her. He felt no guilt, yet somehow he felt the need to explain everything. No matter what she'd done they had once meant so much to each other and he at least owed her that.

Emilia heard someone knock on the door. She tried to raise her head, but it was glued to the ground. She opened her mouth, but no words came out. Her voice was gone. After a few tries, she could make herself to be heard "Come in." She didn't care who it was, but a part of her was hoping, it was Kit. She needed her right now, to get over Simon. To get over the pain, she put herself in.

Simon swallowed when he heard the weak reply from within. He pushed the door open and his eyes opened wide when he saw her crumpled form on the floor. He rushed over to her and dropped to his knees.
"Jeez, Emilia. Come on, put your arm around my neck." he instructed as he slid an arm around her shoulders and lifted her off the ground. He summoned a sofa and placed her down on it. She could barely sit, so he let her fall into a comfortble lying positon. She was covered in bruises and dirt. He pulled out his wand and syphoned off the soil and stains, cleaning her up a bit. He did his best to heal her bruises and cuts and gradually she began to esemble the woman he'd once known.
"Rough night, huh?" he asked, not really expecting an answer. He conjoured up a pot of wolfsbane and some tea, not sure which one she'd prefer. "Are you alright?" he asked, then realised what a supid question it was. Of course she wasn't.

Emilia saw a familiar figure in front of her. She tried to smile, in hopes that it was Kit, but as soon as she heard the voice, her heart stopped beating. Why had he come here. She didn't understand. She tried to do as she was told, but her arm didn't have a lot of strength in it. She was placed on the sofa and she could see Simon clearly. He looked older than she remembered. Maybe it was the light, she didn't care. She saw him cleaning her up and she tried to smile, but all she managed, was to cry. Another flow of tears fell from her eyes, as he healed her bruises. Her eyes followed his every move and she finally opened her mouth "Why are you here?" She let her tears fall freely, because she didn't care anymore. "Shouldn't you be with Liz, after all that happened?" She managed to keep her voice calm, though her eyes were like a waterfall.

Simon didn't reply to start with. He just finished cleaning her up and remained crouched on the floor in front of her looking at her.
"I wanted to see if you were alright. And I wanted to apologise." he told her carefully. He looked at the floor for a moment and clasped his hands between his knees. "I shouldn't have treated you the way I did in my office the other day. It was unprofessional and unkind. I'm sorry." he told her sincerely. He sighed.
"Actually I just left Liz. She's fine. She's worried about you." he explained. "So was I." he added uncomfortably. He sighed again and sat down properly on the floor with his legs crossed.
"I really am sorry. It was just so hard seeing you again I didn't know how to handle it." he confessed, not meeting her eyes. "So I tried to push you away. That was wrong. I never gave you the chance to tell me your side. I never gave you the opportunity to explain. I should have." he admitted smiling apologetically at her. "And I just want you to know that if you want to talk, I'm willing to listen. We can never have what we once did, but...maybe in time we could be friends." he suggested gently. "What do you say?"
