Krys peered into the gloom and immediately fell backwards out of the room as a cascade of remnant emotions hit her hard in the stomach leaving her winded. Her eyes still wide open in shock she gathered herself and took a cautius step forward. Putting up an extremely strong wall around her mind she moved into the room and stared around it. She saw some shackles hanging from an old beam. "Filch used to say he hung people by their ankles in the old days." she said with a shudder. She was glad that old dried up sprout had gone. She walked around, weaving between the various contraptions, some of them making her feel slightly sick when she realised what they did. She covered her mouth with one hand. "I can't been they used these things on students!" she exclaimed in a whisper. "That energy you felt was latent emotions. So strong they nearly knocked me off my feet." she said, grimmacing.

"I heard rumours that spirits used to haunt this room, the spirits of students who were driven mad by the torture. People were stretched to the point where it dislocated every bone in their body, and over here... lies the worst torture of all" Astrid said, walking over to the pit. "This pit has thousands of spikes and students were suspended by their ankles in this pit, attempting not to get spikes in them" She said, shuddering slightly at the thought. "I honestly spend too much time with my head in a book lately" She laughed.

Krysta followed Astrid over to the pit and peered into it. It was very dark ad she coudn't really see the bottom. "I'll take your word for it." she said with a shimmer. "I can't believe they were allowed to do this to school students. It's the sort of thing you'd expect in a mediaeval torture chamber." she said, sounding disgusted. Krysta honestly couldn't sense any spirits in the room, just the remnance of excruciating emotions: pain, terror, remorse and insanity. She didn't want to ruin Astrid's romantic notions of ghosts, she seemed to be enjoying herself too much. This place was rather fascinating, she had to admit.

"Well lucky for us, rules were established to prevent things like this being used on students as punishment, now we just have Detention. Hmm, by the amount of dust and dirt and spiderwebs on this equipment, I can estimate that most of this stuff hasn't been used for hundreds of years, with the exception of the shackles" Astrid said, walking around the pit carefully.

Krysta listened to Astrid talk about the history and something about the room disturbed her. It disturbed her that it was here. It should have been cordoned off, or cleared out years ago. The idea of it just sitting here for curious students to find was an extremely worrying thought. She wondered how many particularly vicious bullies had founds it before now and used it to terrorise other students. But Astrid was right. They were covered in cobwebs and dust. They hadn't been used in years. She eyed the shackles and a wicked thought entered her head. She smirked slightly to herself and wondered if Sebastian knew what a sadistic mind she had. "Astrid, do yo think the teachers know this is here?" she asked. Surely they must, but did worry her that some innocent 1st year might wander in and fall in the pit.

"I'm not exactly sure if anyone other than myself and you of course know about this being here, can you imagine what news that would make in the Daily Prophet? The headline, Hogwarts: School of Witchcraft of Wizardry or School of Hidden Secrets? Maybe we should go inform Professor Snape about this being here." Astrid said, biting her lip softly, heading out of the room.

Krysta nodded in agreement. If the prophet got hold of this it would make the headlines. She watched Astrid head out of the door to go and find Kildara and her eyes widened. She suddenly felt that it wasn't a good idea to let the chief Death Eater know there was a ready-made torture chamber available at her beckon-call. "Wait!" she cried, running after Astrid. "Professor Snape's probably busy. Let's tell Professor Black instead." she suggested innocently. Serena was definitely a safer option.

"Alright then, let's go." Astrid said, walking off to go find Professor Black. Although she'd still have to tell Kildara about this as a piece of harmless information, but she'd have to wait until Krysta had left. "You're probably right about Professor Snape being busy, after all she does run this school as well as teach Arithmancy." She said.

Raven headed down from the Room of Requirement to meet Chris here in the Dungeon Corridor, it might not have been the best choice to meet down here especially since she was wearing her brand new strapless black dress, she really didn't want to get any dust or dirt on it.

Chris hurried down the stairs to the corridor where he'd arranged to meet Raven. He was feeling a bit strange in his brand-new tux, and as for the mask - he'd put it on but almost fell down the stairs on his way here, so he was carrying it in his hand at the moment. He stopped, seeing Raven there, waiting for him. His stomach did a flip. The strapless black dress showed off all her curves and hinted at what it was concealing. He swallowed. "H-hi. Raven. You, um, you look - wow!" he finally managed to say.

"Thanks Chris, you look quite wow yourself" She said with a smile, to be honest, Raven was actually quite nervous but she did quite a good job of hiding it. "Now shall we go?" She asked, putting on her mask and trying not to mess up her hair in the process.

Chris nodded. "Yes, let's go. Oh..." Following her example, he put his mask on, hoping that he wouldn't trip again. Trying to remember what he was supposed to do, he offered her his arm, and smiled nervously as they headed up the steps towards the Great Hall.

Raven took Chris's arm and walked up the stairs towards the Great Hall. It was a bit difficult to walk with her mask on but she managed to walk perfectly without falling which was actually a huge accomplishment since she usually tripped over something while walking.

I swear I must have done something really, really horrible in a past life or something, because the Fates really seem to hate my guts. Edwin thought mournfully. Oh I'm sure SOMEONE thinks its funny to take me from Katzenaugen and place me in Hufflepuff, where the colors are the same and the Common Room location is the same. I don't know what I did in my past life, but it seems to have permanently tied my fate to yellow, black, and dungeon corridors. Speaking of which, did I just take a left or a right?
Edwin stopped short, realizing with a sickening jolt that during his miffed but bemused mental ramblings, he'd gone and turned himself completely around. He had no idea where he was; other then the obvious of course. Being lost in the dungeons was one thing. Being lost in dungeons you have never set foot in until now is quite another.
"Great, Sierra. Real great. What have you gone and gotten yourself into this time around?" he grumbled to himself, placing his hand in his pocket and instantly taking hold of his wand. He frowned a bit, before turning and attempting to backtrack. At least he hoped he was backtracking.
Dear god, Hogwarts needed tour guides for the idiots.

That wasn't good right? Leaving your best friends girlfriend tied up in a rather empty library. But frankly Dani didn't give a f*ck. She was so pissed off with Little Miss Princess she couldn't think straight. She wanted to be alone and the dungeons had at the time she thought been a good idea. No one went down here right? Wrong. She groaned incoherently, stumbling forward into a boy. A very odd boy. Not that he was odd, he was just there. That made him odd. Why was he there? Who had given him permission to enter her personal space! Why was he disrupting her peace! She glowered incandescently hoping she didn't erupt and accidently curse him into oblivion. Hmm....Sebastian had done it and gotten away with. it. Calm down idiot!Ohh....right. Yes! Why was she cursing him into oblivion? Wasn't that reserved for potential boyfriend stealing princesses? Mhhhm. That sounded much more pleasing. She sighed and looked up at him, taking a good look at him. She inquired coldly. Scare the thing idiot! Stop acting like some sort of a cow and introduce yourself.Daniele went slightly red, and mumbled a soft apology. "Hi...I'm...Dani.."
