Dungeon Corridor

This dark, dank corridor echoes your every footstep. The sickly green lighting gives your skin a green tinge. The dark dungeons on either side give it an ominous gloomy feeling. But going through here you are obviously going somewhere better!

Krys skipped down the dungeon steps and into the gloom below. To be honest she liked it down here. She found the ominous green algae glow gave it a pleasant mysteriousness. She headed for the Slytherin Common Room hoping to catch Sebastian before he went to bed.

Astrid had wandered down to the dungeons strickly out of curiousity, she wondered if anything(or anyone) was down here. She always came down here every few days to investigate whether or not the castle dungeons were haunted by spirits. As usual she wasn't paying attention to where she was going and accidently ran into another girl, knocking her over. "Oh, I'm so sorry. I wasn't watching where I was going" Astrid said, very apoligetically.

Krysta cried out in pain as someone flew into her, knocking her to the ground. She gasped through her teeth as the jolt of sharp pain shot up her leg. She landed on the massive wound there, knocking it hard against the stone floor. Luckily she managed to fall sideways to protect the gash on her back.
"Ow." she groaned as she slowly climbed back to her feet. She looked up to see a tall, slim blonde girl she didn't recognise looking rather guilty. As annoyed as she was at the pain, she couldn't help smiling a little.
"No worries...it was an accident." she said, her voice strained slightly by the pain.

"Are you alright?" Astrid asked curiously, she felt really bad for knocking the other girl over. Normally she would pay attention to where she was going, but it seemed whenever she was in the dungeons, she was too busy investigating things to really pay any attention to where she was going.

Krysta half laughed and nodded.
"I'll live." she grinned, trying to hide her bad leg behind the other one. She could see the other girl was a Ravenclaw and wondered what she was up to down here.
"Have you got Potions class?" she asked curiously.

"No, I'm just investigating whether or not the dungeons are haunted, its just something I've been doing for the past 6 years here" She said and smiled. "The name's Astrid Smith, 7th year Ravenclaw" she said, extending her hand in the darkness.

Krysta couldn't help laughing, not sure whether the girl was serious or not.
"I'm Krysta." she replied, shaking Astrid's hand and shaking her head. "Astrid, the whole castle is haunted. The ghosts don't exactly hide themselves." she giggled. "But I know what you mean." she added. She looked around the corridor appraisingly. "I think it's more...remaining energy than an actual spirit." she suggested thoughtfully.

"I know that the castle is haunted, but.. something down here just keeps bringing me back and making me investigate whether or not there is something going down here specifically." Astrid said. "Nice to meet you Krysta, so..what are you doing down here?" She asked with a smirk playing about her lips.

Krys nodded thoughtfully.
"Well if you feel something down here, then there probably is something. Trust your instincts; I really believe that. They're there for a reason and are very rarely wrong." she said, sounding a little preachy. She grinned.
"Me? Im just nipping down to the Slytherin Common Room to see if my boyfriend's around. I was hoping to catch him before he went in there." she explained.

"Well, I'll keep investigating until I find whatever is down here, if anything. Though, I have come to believe that there is a reason that I keep coming back to this exact spot, everytime I come down here I feel strong forces of energy near me but I never figured out exactly where they are coming from. I've learnt to trust my instincts about things like this, they are usually right and I have found a few torture chambers around here" She said with a smirk.

"Oh that's cool, what's his name?" She asked curiously.

"Well like I said, there probably is something there then." nodded Krys. "It's an incredibly old building and you can't exactly say its History is boring." she chuckled. "Which spot is it? You've got me curious now, I want to check it out." she grinned.

"His name's Sebastian. He's in your year. I'm 6th." she told her. She glanced her watch. "I've pobably missed him actually." she said with a small frown. "So you want to show me ths spot?" she asked, her curiosity ignited.

"Alright, follow me. Its not too far, I came across it last year" Astrid said, leading Krysta down the corridor. She took out her wand and performed a silent lumos so she could see where exactly she was going. She turned left down one of the halls and stopped in front of a large antique door which had been covered in spiderwebs and dust.

Krysta followed Astrid down the corridors and into one she'd never bee down before. It was particularly dark and she was grateful for the wandlight. They stopped outside an old door that looked like it hadn't been opened in years.
"Is this it?" she asked, reaching out and touching the door cautiously. Astrid had been right, there was definitely latent energy permeating from it. She withdrew her hand and looked at the girl questioningly.
"Have you never gone inside?" she asked.

"I've been inside before, actually got locked in it one year by some Slytherin 1st years." She said and laughed, opening the old door slowly. It eventually creaked open and revealed all sorts of torture equipment. She walked into the room and looked around again. "From what I read, students used to be taken down here when they misbehaved, so that they learnt their lesson. After awhile, this room was never used again." Astrid said and smirked once again.
