School Gates

The Gates of Hogwarts, for meeting outside guests.

Zach made sure his cloak was hanging straight, and put on his mask, as he walked towards the school gates. He felt oddly jittery. He hadn't told anyone who he was taking to the ball, not even Aidan. As he arrived at the gates, he looked around, to see if Belle had arrived yet.

Belle apparated just outside the Gates of the school, adjusting her dress, her mask in her hand. She sighed, taking a couple of deep breaths to calm herself. She almost felt sick she was so nervous. She took a deep breath, smoothing her dress over her curves, and putting on her mask, as she walked up to the gates. Her face split into a grin, however, when she saw Zach.
"Zach!" she exclaimed, quickening her pace to reach him faster. She gave him a hug, then stood back to look at him. "Wow. You look nice!" she commented approvingly.

Zach smiled, all his nerves vanishing the moment he saw Belle. He returned her hug enthusiastically, then stood back to admire her. "Thanks," he said in reply to her compliment. Looking at her, he was silent for a moment. "You look - beautiful," he said, slightly awestruck. He reached out and took her hand. "Shall we?" he asked, gesturing towards the castle with his free hand.

"Thanks," Belle replied, pretty sure she was blushing. Good thing it was a little dark and she had her mask on! Her heart, and stomach, were all aflutter when he took her hand. "We shall," she said, nodding her head. She took a few deep breaths before letting him lead her away.

[Kaiia Blackthorn]

Kaiia walked towards the gates. Her gauzy, shocking pink gown rustled as she walked, and she threw her head back, letting the wind ripple through her hair, which was loose over her shoulders in a wild, flame-coloured tangle. She stopped at the gates and looked around, enjoying the feeling of the crisp night air on her bare shoulders. James should be here any minute.

James apparated just outside the gates, smiling a little. Oh to see the look on Dara's face when he shows up to her Ball with someone else! He spotted Kaiia and smiled. "Well, you look stunning," he said, smiling at her. "Very nice." He smiled, putting his mask on, and offering her his arm.. "Shall we?"

Kaiia smiled in return. "You look very - desirable." She ran her tongue briefly over her bottom lip, and as she took his arm, she reached up to brush her lips over his. As she moved, the moonlight sparkled on her diamond necklace and earrings, and on the tiny jewels that were scattered across her cheeks. She raised her mask to her face, and together, she and James began to walk towards the school.

James watched as Kaiia drew her tongue over her bottom lip, holding back a groan. This was going to be a long night. He smiled as she took his arm, then brushed her lips over his. She looked breathtaking, to be honest. He watched as the moonlight glinted on her jewellery and jewels on her cheeks. He grinned, adn walked with her up to the castle.

Emilia apparated right in front of the gates. she raised her eyes and looked at hogwarts. it had never seemed so calling and yet so hated. she took a deep breath and walked through the gates. she knew everyone would be having fun right now and she also knew there was someone happy to ruin it. she couldn't let it happen. after all the fighting and pain, she didn't want to give up just yet. but she knew she had to speak to kit first. maybe even simon. she couldn't decide which was worse. she decided to go to her office and allow herself a few more moments to think, before she acted.
