Mel walked down the corridor, hoping to the lords that it was empty. She exhaled in relief and slipped down onto the ground with exhaustion. She didn't know what her problem was, so she leant neatly against the wall and sat playing with her skirt hopeful no one would see her behind the column.

Alex walked down the third floor corridor frowning, He wasn't looking where he was going and suddenly tripped over something on the ground, a girl. "Woah, sorry" he said smiling, "You alright Gryffindor?" he asked after he realised what she was.

Mel was about to say watch it when she looked up. She went a little red. "Yeah" She said after a pause, still watching him. "Fine. What are you doing here?" She asked softly, still trying to peel her eyes away.

Alex smirked and looked at her, "good, I don't want to hurt people I don't even know" he chuckled and listened to her question, It was hard to hear she was almost whispering, "I'm just thinking about some stuff" he answered, "I'm Alex by the way"

"Amelina. Nice to meet you. Hope you didn't fall for me" She said, with a smirk. She got up and dusted herself off extending her hand. "Mel" |

Alex chuckled, "maybe i did" he winked and saw her get up, "nice to meet you Mel" he took sher hand and shook it but held on for a little longer then what was normal. "so I answered your question now for mine what are you doing up here?"

"This school is magical that way" he smiled, "you're not a seventh year are you?" he asked still smiling slightly, she didn't seem that much younger than him but she obviously wasn't a seventh year.

Raising an eyebrow Amelina smiled, "Yes...this school is magical that way" His smile was making her a little flustered, "No...Sixth" She said smoothly, watching him intently. "You must be in your 7th year right?"

Alex chuckled and leaned againsted a collumn, "Sixth year? good times, too bad it's over I have to study for NEWTS now" he shoo his head in disgust, tests were boring it wasn't like he was going to be the minister or something, he and Annie had worked out that they would do quidditch.

Amelina smirked. "Oh yes, good times. They just throw random bits of information at us, hoping in some miracle that we'll actually take it" She rolled her eyes.
"So...what do you do to take the stress off?" She asked, noticing his change of stance.
