Magesta looked at Isabella, the girl really was too observant. "Yes, I did. But with the way they keep building brooms these days mine is already outdated." Her tone was such that it was indicative that the matter should be dropped. They'll all find out soon anyway.

Magesta smiled, "Yes, Magesta is fine. I don't really mind at all as long as it's not 'hey you'. And is Lucien alright?" Magesta looked at Lucien with a smile, "Just good? I've heard differently. I just finished my contract with Ireland and decided to come teach. You could say the coach and I had...creative differences." Or that he was an utter git. She sighed and looked towards the brooms, "I prefer teaching anyway. Being able to see the young kids, the first years, faces light up when they fly for the first time." She looked at Lucien and blushed slightly, "Sorry, I'm babbling. Why did you choose not to play Quidditch?" "Of course, Lucien is perfect" he said, nodding. He remembered how he used to hate his name during while he was much longer, probably everyone did so.
Lucien laughed, "Creative differences?" he said, as he raised an eyebrow, "It sounds like there was something more than just creative differences" he said, with a smile. Lucien listened as she continued talking, now about teaching, and chuckled a bit when she blushed an apologized, "No, don't worry, it's nice to hear how you feel about teaching, I know what you mean" even if it was way too different in his case, he also liked to teach. Kids were better than dragons in a few ways.
He straightened himself when she asked the last question, it was kind of private, and he didn't truly discussed feelings so openly,"Just some family stuff" he answered, sadness on his eyes, "But I got to work with dragons instead, and it was almost as fun" he smiled.

Magesta smiled at Lucien's observation. "Yes...well there was," she laughed a little at the memory of the last fight that they had. "I just decided it was better for me to leave. It wasn't worth the stress." She nodded at his explanation or lack thereof but didn't press the issue. "I've never been around dragons. I might have to try that some day." She glanced at the brooms and smiled, "So what broom are you getting?" She was almost giddy about the prospect of getting brand new brooms for the class, one for each student. She eyed them curiously unsure of whether to get Firebolts or Nimbus'. She'd much prefer to get Firebolts but would that be a bit to much? It wasn't in her mind...of course Kildara might now see it the same way.

Her tone was such that it was indicative that the matter should be dropped. They'll all find out soon anyway. Bella heard the tone in Professor Lockwood's voice and immediately decided to stop talking. There was a reason though she'd been put into Ravenclaw. "Well hopefully you'll find a good broom," she said cheerfully, loving her Nimbus that was somewhere in Sam's house. She watched the conversation between both Professors with a slight grin on her face, her cupid side coming back to her. Although teachers were harder to work on than students... oh well task for next term apparently.

"Yes, you probably made the best choice by coming to Hogwarts, it's way better to be a Quidditch instructor than a History professor, I bet" he chuckled, although he'd love to give the students a lesson involving Quidditch, he just needed to make sure it didn't include something Magesta might use for her classes.
"You should, Quidditch experience will help a lot around them, trust me" he said, with a wink, it was probably one of the things that allowed him to work well with them, since he was quite skilled around the broom after all, and was able to help when one of the creatures got loose somehow. Right. Brooms. He'd forgotten what he came to do in the first place, "Oh, a Firebolt" he replied, with a grin, he could be such a little boy when brooms were involved, "My school friends are planning a get-together game of Quidditch, and well, my broom is already 7 years old" he was a bit ashamed of that, "I decided I'll surprise them with a new one" he shrugged.

Bella continued to look around the store, looking at different types of brooms and wondering whether she needed another one. She had the newest Nimbus, so that would last her quite a while. "Game tickets sound great!" she said hearing the shopkeeper's suggestions. "Can you get season tickets?" she asked, knowing he'd need something to keep him occupied next year when she was still at school. Michael nodded at the girl and pulled out the ticket book, "so that was for the cannons?" he asked looking for them in the book. "ah here they are" he pulled out his wand and tapped the canons picture and season tickets appeared out of no where. "that's 30 gallons." he said turning to realise there were two professors waiting for help, "I'll be right with you"

Magesta looked thoughtful, "Well that would all depend on what you prefer to do and teach, wouldn't it?" She glanced at Lucien and smiled, "I don't actually teach them Quidditch though. Although I let the older students practice some times during class. I teach them how to fly. I absolutely love the look on the first-years faces when they take flight for the first time or finally understand something. I'm sure you know what I mean." Magesta smiled at his wink and tried to force herself not to turn red. It was odd really, she never usually talks to any one aside from Liz for this long of a time, choosing instead to keep to herself. But she felt oddly comfortable talking to Lucien. "Maybe I'll have to give that a try during the summer." Magesta's own grin matched his when the talk turned toward brooms. She had quite the collection as she never got rid of any of her older brooms and always bought the newest ones when they came out. "Good choice." Yes, we're definitely going with the Firebolts for the class. She smirked, "Oh, that's nothing. You should see the broom my father used until the day it died when he played professionally. I swear that thing should have fallen apart long before it did...." She shook her head with a slight smile. "Will they be surprised that you have THE latest broom in existence? Might give you a slight advantage if they all have last years model," she said with a grin.

She couldn't believe that they both supported the same team, and hopefully she'd be able to go with him to a game when she wasn't at school. "Thanks!" she exclaimed happily seeing the tickets appear out of nowhere. Magic was awesome that much was definitely true. Taking her purse out, she opened it and took out the 30 gold coins. "There we go, thank you very much." She took the tickets and placed them in her bag. "See you both at school professors, happy hoidays." There was definitely something between them, and she was going to make sure that something blossomed.

He laughed, "Yeah, I know what you mean" he said, "I don't remember the first time I started to fly, I was really young, and I didn't have a real broom..." he started to say, it was only a toy broom and he was 2 years old, which will make it harder to remember, "...but I do remember the first time I did it with a real one, and that look on my face stayed during the whole week" it was very funny, and his brother used to annoy him about it.
"I'm glad I'm not the first person to keep their old broom for such a long time" he chuckled, but he'd never been a fan of updating his broom as soon as another came out, a fact that would've changed if he'd played professionally. "That's what I'm counting on, to have the latest one, at least for this game" silly, they were only his friends, but he could still spoil himself with a new broom.
Lucien turned to look at Isabella, who was now leaving, "Yes, see you at school, Miss Peters" he called, before turning to Magesta again.

Magesta smiled at he spoke of his own first experience. Truthfully his sounded almost exactly like hers. She smiled slightly as she remembered when her dad let her have a go on his broom during her parents' Quidditch practice. From then on she had become the team's unofficial mascot. "Yea, I was like that as well."
She shook her head and laughed, "Oh no, you aren't the first one. He had this weird tradition thing dealing with his broom. I never did fully understand it. I think it was just his way of being stubborn truthfully." She smiled and looked up at Lucien, "Well, I think that is the way to do it. I'm sure the look on their faces will be priceless.
She turned and smiled at Isabella, "Have a good rest of your Holiday." She turned toward Lucien and smiled, "Well I'm getting the class new brooms...I didn't want to say it while she was in here since I want it to be a surprise."

He chuckled, "I guess all of us, the ones that love Quidditch, have had the same feeling the first time" he smiled, it was common to all Quidditch players to remember how great they felt when they got to fly for the first time. It was something just indescribable.
"He felt attached to it, that's completely normal" he nodded, he'd been attached to his old one this whole time, but he knew when it was time for a change, especially giving the situation of a game ahead.
Lucien laughed, "Priceless, indeed" he said, a smirk on his face. His eyes widened as she explained the reason she'd stopped by the store, even if there was never a reason to stop by a Quidditch shop. "Wow, new brooms, you'll probably be their favorite teacher this term" he chuckled, "I wish something like that could've happened while I went to school".

Magesta smiled, "I guess we all have." It would be curious though if everyone felt the same way. She smiled thoughtfully and shook her head, "I guess he did feel attached to it. I guess in a way I am to. I keep all of my brooms, but I never ride them until they are perilously close to death." She laughed, her father had always been an odd one though.
She saw his expression and couldn't help but smirk slightly, "Well, I got tired of all the 'Oh, the school brooms suck.' remarks even if they didn't say them out loud." She shrugged and laughed, "That's what everyone keeps saying. But I doubt it considering they're going to be working a lot harder than they were before." She smiled, "I know. It would have made the classes much more interesting not to mention fun."
