Caeleb listened to her calmly, showing no reaction at all. His eyes joined hers, watching the couple disappear upstairs. The corner of his lip curled slightly. Humans and their weakness of flesh. It was one pert of humanity he admired. Even envied. His human body was infested by the ghostly remnants of desire.
He turned his attention back to Kelly and his eyebrows furrowed. His eyes darkened as did his expression.
"Oh yes why didn't I think of that before?" he muttered sarcastically. "Unfortunately Headmistress Templeton ruined that plan. I can't get in. She has some kind of protection guarding the boundaries of the school grounds. Whatever it is I can't get past it." he growled his explanation, annoyed that he had had to admit this to her. It felt like a weakness and he certainly didn't want to give her the slightest idea of that.
