Merelda pushed open the door and went straight to her bed. She sat down and looked around the room, sad to see that she didn't know anybody. She settled back and started to read a book.

Natalie nodded. She was determined to enjoy her last few years of freedom at school. "What day in March is your birthday?" she asked. "Mine's December 21st, which isn't so good because it gets bundled in with Christmas." She grinned when she heard the date of the next Hogsmeade weekend. She'd be able to buy some new pajamas, and maybe a few other things that she knew she'd never get to wear at home! "Yes, I heard a bunch of people went to Hogsmeade the other day. Wasn't there some kind of drinking contest?" "Mine's the 30th so luckily I can start taking Apparation Lessons this term and then hopefully take the test before the holidays," Bella said crossing her fingers. "Drats and we didn't celebrate it before Christmas, how bad does that make me feel. Hmmm," she thought for a moment. "Right I've got it, at my coming of age party, we'll also celebrate yours, that way, Christmas isn't in the way of it!" She could see that the upcoming prospect of a Hogsmede trip was exciting Nathalie and she wondered just how much she'd be buying at Gladrags. At the sound of the other night, her face turned red from blushing. "Um... yep between everyone except Angel and Danika and Zach because they weren't drinking. I had 27 shots, before stopping due to me being sick, and trust me, I've already had the lecture from my boyfriend, which was one of the worst lectures I've gotten." Though there was the lovely making up she thought with a bemused smile on her face as she remembered it. "Want to come next time? Although you may not be allowed to drink." As the door opened again, Bella turned and saw a girl look around with a sad look and then begin to read. "You could always come and join us," she said with an encouraging smile on her face. "None of us bite, well okay Annie and Nat occasionally do, but don't worry as one of the prefects I'll make sure they don't bite you." She waved the girl to come over and join them. "I'm Bella nice to meet you." |

As the door opened again, Bella turned and saw a girl look around with a sad look and then begin to read. "You could always come and join us," she said with an encouraging smile on her face. "None of us bite, well okay Annie and Nat occasionally do, but don't worry as one of the prefects I'll make sure they don't bite you." She waved the girl to come over and join them. "I'm Bella nice to meet you." Merelda smiled as the girl waved her over. "Haha! Well, I don't bite, so tell them to keep their teeth to themselves, " she said. She stood up and joined them. "I'm Merelda," she added. |

Bella laughed and looked at Annie and Nathalie using her best 'I'm a prefect and you are in soo much touble' look. "Hear that you two, no biting." As Merelda introduced herself she smiled. "Isabella, but most people call me Bella. Nice to meet you and welcome to Ravenclaw." |

Merelda smiled wider. "Hi, Bella," she said. "It's nice to meet you." She shook Bella's hand. "Actually, I'm in fourth year, but I've been too shy to talk to anyone!" She laughed.

"Ohhhh," Bella said smiling even more. "Well you have to talk to us now that we know you. It's that or we'll keep talking to you until you're forced to answer us." She laughed as well and shook her hair out. "And trust me, most of us can talk for the World if we wanted to."

Mera laughed. "Oh, once I know someone I talk plenty, trust me!" She lay back on her bed and took off her shoes, then sat up again. "I'm not shy once I've talked to someone."
