As Ceallach drove the Blades of Natherra into her body Krysta immediately felt the demon blood withdrawing up into the sacred weapon where it was destroyed. With a loud choking gasp she lurched upwards, her eyes immediately flying open. For a moment she just sat there staring into space, gasping for air as the world came into focus. She looked down at her abdomen where the dagger was still embedded and stared at it for a moment. The she reached a trembling hand to the hilt, wrapping her fingers around it. With one swift movement she pulled it free from her body and stared nonchalantly down at the wound as it healed itself completely, leaving only the hole in her clothing where it had sliced through.
Finally she looked up and smiled at Ceallach as though only just noticing she was there. "Ceal!" she squealed and lunged at her friend like she hadn't seen her in months. She hugged her tightly and spoke warmly into her ear. "Thank you." She continued to cling onto her for several long moments, a single tear running down her cheek. Ceallach had saved her life. A few seconds more and she would have been beyond reach. Finally she pulled back to smile at her friend again. "That was amazing. You were so brave. Not many people could have done what you just did. Thank the Creator for Ceallach o'Raghallaigh." she laughed before hugging her again.
She suddenly became aware of the other presence in the room. She turned towards the boy, seeing him for the first time. He was tall and skinny with bright orange hair, a kind face and the brightest eyes she'd ever seen. She beamed at him. "And who do I have to thank for rescuing me?" she asked with a grin. "I seem to have a knight in shining armour." she commented, tilting her head to one side.

Ceallach watched in horror as Krysta's body bent up on itself, and Ceal's breathing quickened. She hoped it helped! Then, she watched Krysta reach out and pull the dagger out of her abdomen, her eyes widening, looking down where there should have been a gaping hole in her friend.
Ceallach turned her head to look at Krysta as she said her name. "Oh Krysta. I was so worried," she muttered, those blasted tears dropping from her eyes again. She held her friend tight, frightened of almost losing her again. She smiled at Krysta as she pulled back. "f**k, Krysta. You ever ask me to stab you again, I'm going to walk away. That was the most nerve wracking thing I've ever had to do!" She took a deep breath to calm herself, then hugged Krys again, sharing in her laughing.
Ceallach turned to Xander. "Told you I hadn't lost the plot!"

Krysta laughed loudly, holding both of her friend's hands and she too turned and grinned at the boy . "Oh dear, did he think you were trying to do me in?" she asked with bemused sheepishness. She shook her head. "Sorry about that, but it was the only way." She patted her unblemished stomach. "The Blades cannot harm a mortal." she explained when she saw the look on Ceallach's face. "They only hurt beasties...and possibly politicians" she added with a grin.
It was then that her body's nerve-endings began to work again. "Son of a bi*ch!" she groaned in pain as the gigantic wound on her back sent a searing sharp pain through her. "Ow...that one's gonna scar." she moaned, looking over her shoulder at it. Every inch of her was aching and the gash on her leg, although sealed up nicely was extremely painful. She pulled back her ripped trouserleg to look at it. "F**king ba**ard ripped my cargos!" she wailed.

Ceallach smiled, and held onto Krysta's hands as they closed around hers. "Yeaps. Tried to restrain me and everything," she said, looking down at the dust on the floor, the remnants of his Incarcerous charm. She laughed, shaking her head. Krysta. Always trying to make a joke out of things!
Ceallach jumped slightly as Krysta swore. "Did you want me to try healing it. I don't know how good it'll be, but I can try," she suggested, shrugging her shoulders. She shook her head again. "Babe. I think your cargos are the least of your worries."

"Ah thanks Ceal." she sighed, turning her back to her friend so she could reach the wound. "That blood thing really did a number on me." she moaned. She gave the boy a small smile. She wasn't sure what to do about him. Would he tell anyone about what had happened here? He must be wondering what he hell was going on. Seeing Ceallach stab her like that must have given him the shock of his life, poor lad.
She chuckled when Ceallach commented on her trousers and grinned. "I know! Just look at my top! Shoulder ripped, big hole in the front...I need to go shopping." she commented trying to look serious. On the surface she was joking, making light of it all, but inside she was in tormoil trying to ignore the physical pain her body was in, trying to block out the focused fury she still felt from the battle. Flashes of the beast entered her and and she looked away not wanting either of them to see.

Ceallach sighed, trying to calm her own body down enough to focus. She lay her hands about an inch from Krysta's back, and took a few deep breaths, focussing her energy to channel through her hands. Her hands warmed up and she sent all the heat she could muster into Krysta's back. Watching the wound carefully, she could see the cut starting to close, the skin moving closer together, then beginning to knit again. She knew it wouldn't knit completely, she wasn't strong enough at the moment, but it would at least hold until some real healing could be done to it. She made a small whimpering noise, and collapsed back into the chair. "That should hold for a while. At least until the nurse decides to show up," she muttered, exhausted.
Shaking her head tiredly, she sighed. "I'll take you shopping. I need new clothes as well," she said, shrugging. A girl could never have too many clothes. She winced slightly as her mind picked up on Krysta's thoughts. She didn't say anything though, and just sat in silence, trying to recharge her batteries.

Krys reached out a hand and placed it on Ceal's arm. "Thank you. I really owe you, hun." she said with deep sincerity. She looked slightly guilty. "I'm sorry I took some of your power before. It was the only thing I could think of to hold on to." she apologised. "You should feel stronger soon, and that wound will hold just fine. I heal quickly." she told her confidently. She smiled softly and sighed. What a mess. And what was Simon going to say? She wasn't looking forward to that conversation. And Sebastian. When he found out he would flip. She sighed again and shook her weary head. This gig wasn't what it all cracked up to be.

Ceallach smiled at Krysta as she spoke. "Anything for a friend," she said breathily. She waived away Krysta's apology. "Babes, it's fine. If it helped, it's definately fine. I'll be great soon enough." She gave her another smile and slumped in her chair, resting herself, feeling her strength build up again.

Xander was taken aback by the authoritative tone Ceallach took with him. If he were in her position he wouldn't be speaking that way. He stared as the ropes disintegrated and what was she saying about being a mind reader? Oh merlin. He nodded and lowered his wand, extending his hand to help her up. “I... I'm sorry.” he muttered.
Then everything was a bit of a blur. Krysta woke up with a start. He knew then that Ceallach had been speaking the truth. She had saved her friend. He quickly pocketed his wand and watched the interaction between the girls thinking he was intruding on an intimate moment between them. He backed away and sat down again, running a hand through his orange mop, his eyes fixed on the floor.
He lifted his eyes to look at the other girl when she addressed him. “I believe it was Ceallach who rescued you.” he replied. “But my name is Alexander... er Xander.” He have her a nod and weak smile. His face flushed a little at her next words and shook his head dismissively. “Anyone would have done the same. I just happened to be in the courtyard when your friend found you.”
He looked over at Ceallach again. “I know and I apologise.” he nodded. He looked back at his feet as the girls started discussing what had happened. He felt he shouldn't be there any longer. He stood up slowly. “I..er... I should go.” he muttered. “Get cleaned up, you know?.” He gestured at his blood stained clothes and started backing towards the door. “You need to rest Krysta.” he told her. “...and Caellach, take it easy.” He bowed his head to the two girls. “I-I'm sure I'll see you around school sometime.” And with that was gone.

Ceallach looked up as Xander spoke. She looked at his clothes and sighed. Krysta had made a bloody mess! "Thanks for helping Xander. Would have been nice to meet you in another circumstance," she said, giving him the best smile she could, with the little amount to energy she had left. She watched him leave, then shrugged her shoulders. "I feel sorry for him. Poor kid. Look what you've done Krysta. Going off running after beasts and what not, and scaring poor innocent kids," Ceallach said, chuckling slightly.

When Xander said anyone else would have done the same she snorted a little with a grin. "I dunno...I can think of several people who would have just left me there." she said ominously. "Well anyway I'm extremely grateful. Thank you Xander." she said sincerely. She sighed and shook her head. "This must all seem extremely um...well weird? Confsuing? Suspiscious? Take your pick." she said shrugging. She offered him a smile. "I swear we're good guys." she held her hand up, palm outwards like a girl scout. She smiled sadly as Xander made his excuses and left the room. She couldn't blame him for bolting like that. What must he be thinking? When the door closed behind him the smile slipped from her face. She watched the door with a small frown and then turned to Ceallach. "Do you think he'll tell anyone?"

There are some people that would hurt him for not letting it happen. But you know a lot of people seem to think you are indestructible," Ceallach shrugged. "I think this is safe. I would say he'd like to forget it, to be honest."

But you know a lot of people seem to think you are indestructible," Ceallach shrugged. "I think this is safe. I would say he'd like to forget it, to be honest." Krysta stared into space as Ceallach spoke, listening thoughtfully. "Hmmm." she murmured. "Though I think those people are a little more subtle than that. I've heard neither head nor tail of Deatheaters since the Transferrance and I know Caeleb has told Dara more than enough about me for her to put all the pieces together." she mused. "Kelly might want to take a shot at me whilst I'm less than 100%, though." she said in a low voice, raising an eyebrow. "Poor kid." she muttered. "What a way to be introduced to the school." she groaned, feeling sorry for Xander. "I wouldn't blame him if he ran the other way every time he saw us from now on." she added, smiling wistfully at Ceallach. Krys looked down at herself and grimmaced. She was a mess. Her clothes were ripped, muddy and covered in blood as was most of her skin. She pulled some of her hair forward to look at it. "I think I need a bath." she said. "Who do we know with a password to the Prefect bathroom?" she asked Ceallach. "I need pampering." she announced.

Ceallach nodded. "Yeah I suppose. Still have to be careful though," she said, shrugging her shoulders. "Yeah. Poor kid. I feel really sorry for him."
Ceallach's eyes brightened as Krysta spoke about the prefect bathroom. "Me!" she said, taking her badge out of her pocket. "As of 2 hours ago! Let's go. I haven't been in there yet," she said, slowly standing up and putting her arms out to help Krysta if she needed it.

Krys's eyes widened as she saw the Prefect badge and her mouth fell open. She clapped her hands together with glee. "Nice one!" she cried excitedly. "What happened to Kelly? Did Dara take away her badge or something?" she asked. "Well whatever, let's get the hell out of here!" she exclaimed. She jumped out of the bed and instantly regretted it as all her muscles screeched in protest. "Owwwww." she groaned. "Ok, let's get out of here...but slowly." she corrected with a sheepsh grin.
