Caitlyn continued to smile up at him, there was something about him, something... "Very simpler." She said in a soft whisper. She blinked as he backed away and her smiled faltered slightly. She stood up straight and looked at the book in her hands, remembering why she was there in the first place. "No, I think that was everything, although, if you see my mind, that might come in useful." She laughed slightly as she realized the time she spent with him, her mind seemed to travel off to another place.

Dmetri looked at her and smirked knowingly, "Another time perhaps Miss McFuzz." He began stacking some books up on the desk and looked up, "Drinks? Tomorrow night by chance?"

Caitlyn watched with disappointment as Dmetri started stacking books. She knew their meeting was coming to a close, but she didn't want it to, even if he had work to do. She smiled at him as he turned to her and spoke again. "Tomorrow night it is, meet you in the enterance hall?"

Dmetri smiled and nodded, "Sounds good, meet you there at seven." With one last look at her he picked up the stack of books and headed toward the shelves.

"It's a date." Caitlyn said before she could stop herself. The smile never left her even when he went to stock the shelves, not even when she started for the doors. It didn't leave her pretty little face until she reached the doors and remembered her date with Simon that night. She turned and looked back at the shelves where he disappeared, making up her mind. She would just have to find Simon, and cancel their date, hopefully he wouldn't get hurt... With that thought, she left the library and started for the sixth floor.

Nathalie walked up to the front desk to check some books. Since discovering the section of muggle novels in the library, she had been reading them for relaxation. There was a bewildering array of titles she'd never encountered (there were no muggle books in her father's library at home.) One, Black Beauty had surprised her when she flipped through it. The book seemed to have been dictated by a horse; she was impressed, she hadn't realized that muggles could understand animal languages. The other, A Tree Grows In Brooklyn looked as if it would be a good read, too. She'd also been to the history section, for a book about the two wizard wars, which should give her some background on the history of the Death Eaters. She put down the three books on the counter and waited for the librarian.

Caeleb had been running p the stairs to Transfiguration hen he caught sight of Nathalie by the fron desk o theLibrary. Checking his watch he figured he had a couple of minutes so he ran down the corridor and into the library. "Nathalie Hi." he said with a smile. "Listen if you still want a date or the Ball I'd love to go with you. No one else asked did they?" he asked, hoping he wasn't too late. He was kind of looking forward to it now.

Nathalie looked up as Caeleb came up to her. "Oh, yes, of course I still want to go with you." No-one else had asked her; it would have been flattering if she'd had a queue of boys asking her, but it didn't really matter, as she was going with the boy she wanted to go with. "So, um, I guess we'll meet outside the main hall before the Ball starts?" She picked up the books that she'd just checked out and glanced up at the library clock. "Oh, we're going to be late for Transfiguration! We'd better hurry."

Caeleb smiled with relief when she said she still wanted to go with him. "Oh that's great! I'm actually looking forward to it now. I was afraid someone else might have snapped you up." he said with a genuine smile. She did seem like a nice girl. Though the prospect of sneaking out with Dara also increased the Ball's appeal. "No, no I'll pick you up from outside your Common Room and escort you down there." he said. "My date's going to get 5-star treatment." he said with a grin and a playful attempt at being chivilrous. A thought suddenly occured to him and he grinned internally. "I should let you know, though that because I'm Prefect I may have to disappear occasionally. You know if a teacher needs any help or anything." he warned her. He thought if she knew ahead of time that he may disappear she may be less irate on the night when he snuck out.
"Oh yes, you're right. Come on, we better go." he exclaimed when he realised how late it was. "Let me take those." he said, taking her books from her and carrying them for her as he offered her his arm.

Nat smiled, impressed, as Caeleb offered to carry her books. "Oh - of course," she said. "Yes, I suppose the prefects will still have to keep an eye on things." She took his arm, and walked along the hall with him, half-hoping that some of her friends would see her like this.
