Simon was about to apparate both himself and Liz out of the forest when a figure tumbled down the bank on the other side of the pond. the only way he recognised Emilia was because of her beautiful hair. The rest of her was unrecognisable. He stared in horror as another familiar figure hurried down the embankment after her. When Kit screamed his name he broke into action.
"Oh my god." he exclaimed, his arm still around Liz. "Emilia, what's..." he trailed off. What was going on? He gave Liz a reassuring squeeze and apparated over to the other side of the pond.
"Kit what the hell?" he demanded. Kit looked up, tears still streaming down her face.
"She...she...s-saw you. Got angry, started to change. She tried to stop herself and now...now this...she's stuck." Kit stammered through her sobs. "What do we do, Simon? I don't know what to do, she's in so much pain." she asked pleadingly, tears absolutely pouring down her face.
Simon dropped to his knees. As much as he hated what she'd done it killed him to see her like this.
"Emilia, can you hear me? It's Simon." he asked in a loud voice. She twitched on the ground beneath him gasping sporadically. "The best I can do is try and stop her changing any further. But we need to get her to hospital." Simon announced frowning deeply. He looked up, wondering if Liz was ok. He waved to her to join them.
He pulled out his wand and flicked it.
"Accio wolfsbane." he commanded and in a few seconds little sprigs of plant were hurtling through the trees towards them. He caught some and checked it, making sure it was indeed wolfsbane and then held it in front of Emilia's face.
"Emilia, eat this. It will keep you from changing just until we can get you into safety." he ordered, pushing some into her mouth. He just hoped he could get enough down her in time.

Hearing Kit's scream, Liz turned around quickly and saw a figure lying on the other side of the pond. She hadn't realised Kit was there too, and she was instantly worried for her friend. Part of her didn't want Simon going over there, but that was wrong and she gave him a small smile as he apparated over to them.
"Crap," she muttered to herself realising that Emilia was in bad shape. She was neither changing into a werewolf or remaining human. Something must have happened. The appearance of Wolfsbane was enough to tell her that whatever had happened wasn't good and when Simon waved her over she quickly turned on the spot before arriving at Kit's side.
"Shhh. It's alright, it's not your fault," she said softly putting an arm round Kit. No one knew that Emilia was going to react like this and it definitely couldn't be the blame of anyone. "Want some help?" she asked Simon, worried for his safety more than her own. She and Kit were standing back a bit, but Simon was right next to her.

Emilia kept twitching. Her muscles were aching from all this pressure, but she could feel only half of it. What hurt her most, was that she felt like her head was exploding. When Kit cried out for Simon, she flicked her eyes opened. She saw him apparating next to her and tried to smile, but couldn't. Instead, the pain inside of her went worse and she kept clutching to the ground. She heard Simon talk to her and she tried to answer him, but all she could make out was growling. As Simon tried to push wolfsbane down her throat, she grabbed him unintentionally, but let go, as soon as Liz apparated next to Kit. Her instincts told her she was an enemy, but she knew it was Liz. So she tried to stop herself from crawling to her. Instead, she faced the ground, taking short and fast breaths. A few anxious moments passed, when no one said anything. In that time, she knew what she had to do, no matter how painful it was. She grabbed Simon's hand once again, her nails scratching his skin and turned her horrid eyes up to him "Leave" she said, in between breaths and gasps or air "and don't let anyone near the forest." She was about to let go of him, when she took her last strenght, to say "I still love you." Then she dropped face down to the ground, motionless. Her skin started to grow fur and her hair seemed to retreat back into her scull.

Simon hissed in pain as Emilia grabbed his hand. Blood began to trickle down his skin. She wasn't taking the wolfsbane it wasn't going to work. She saw her change as Liz apparated and instinctively put himself between Emilia and Liz, trying to protect her.
As she began to growl her instructions toi him he tried to protest.
"No, we're not leaving you..." he began but trailed off. She shuddered and he placed a hand on her shoulder. What she said next made him freeze. She loved him? What should he say to that? What could he say? He couldn't lie and tell her he loved her too. But he still felt like he should say something.
"I'm sorry." he said sadly, squeezing her shoulder.
He jumped back as her fur began to grow and her body suddenly began to rapidly change.
"Sh*t."he swore. There was nothing he could do now. In a panic he grabbed both Liz and Kit around their waists and turned on the spot, apparating all three of them out of the forest.

Emilia laid down for a moment, till she had completely changed. Then she got herself up and looked around with hunger and pain in her eyes. She let out a long and loud howl. Her nails scratched trees and killed a few mice that got in her way. She started to wander closer to the school, but something kept her back. Maybe it was her human side that managed to do so much, but she twirled around between the trees on the edge of the forest, howling and growling constantly. After a few hours it was over. She fell on the ground and changed back. With shivering feet and tears in her eyes, she apparated into her office.

Juliette walked along the path and stopped as she came close to the forest, that must be the one Zeke was talking about she thought to herself and continued walking towards the forest. She stopped right on the edge and sat down against a tree and pulled out a book, it was nice and quiet out here. Maybe she'd come back more often.

On the other side of the tree, Rose sat quietly, also reading, not noticing anyone except the characters in the French play "Alas I've transfigured my feet."

Juliettes head turned when she heard someone talk. She jumped up and walked to the other side of the tree. "Uh... hi there" she said in her french accent while smiling at the girl.

Juliette smiled and nodded, "yeah, I'm from Beauxbatons and I'm new" she walked around the tree a bit. "I'm Juliette Mercer. 6th year, Hufflepuff."

Mel walked slowly around the edge of the Forest, stopping before she reached the Pitch. She sat down on the grass gazing out at the castle. It was early still, and it seemed like the castle was still waking up. She smiled, thinking back to Italy and before the holidays. Her thoughts drifting through all manner of things.
She sighed, realising the last time she'd talked to Bella was before school had started. Both had been so busy, and she hadn't gotten to spend much time with Alex either. She understood ofcourse he had his NEWTS, yet it still made her feel uncomfortable.

Alex walked quietly down to the forbidden forest. It was so quiet which made it a good place to relax when the stress of NEWTS was taking over. He smiled when he saw Mel sitting by the forest, he didn't think anyone woke up this early, he normally didn't. He walked behind some tree and continued over to her. He stopped behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist, "well hello there" he said smiling and kissed her on the cheek.

Alex walked quietly down to the forbidden forest. It was so quiet which made it a good place to relax when the stress of NEWTS was taking over. He smiled when he saw Mel sitting by the forest, he didn't think anyone woke up this early, he normally didn't. He walked behind some tree and continued over to her. He stopped behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist, "well hello there" he said smiling and kissed her on the cheek. The lake looked good enough to swim in, the water was silky smooth and the most gorgeous crystal coloured blue. The squid seemed to be waking up she thought, smiling as it's tendrils dripped over the surface. Mel gasped when she felt someone hands around her waist and then relaxed when she heard Alex's voice. "Hey" She said smiling, "You must be insane to be up this early" She said patting the ground next to her. |

She echoed leaning into him, "Puh-lease...the teachers give us so much homework you'd think we were doing NEWTS." She shrugged non-chalantly being outside for a couple of hours was perfect to relieve the braincells. "Besides its Saturday! It's too early to be thinking about mundane things like.....transfiguration" She smirked turning to kiss him playfully, "Unless you'd like us to study" She said laughing. |
