Elijah walked out of the castle, needing fresh air to help him think. Kildara would probably murder him for not being in class. Not that he'd be able to think anyway.He wandered down to the Lake. Michelle had sai it was nice down there. Talking of Michelle. There she was. Right where he was about to go. Should he turn away? He shook his head and continued walking in her direction. He stopped by her, and took a deep breath.
"Michelle. I need to talk to you," he said, a slight sense of desperation in his tone.

Michelle looked up and sighed, "no Elijah, I need to apologise" she said patting the grass next to herself for him to sit down. "I really don't know what got in to me before" she shrugged, she looked up at him and then looked away, back over at the lake.

Elijah looked down at herr, sort of shocked, before sitting down. He hadn't been expecting that. "No, I need to apologise. And I need to confess something to you." Confess?! What are you ... SHUT UP! He pushed the stupid annoying voices away and sighed. He looked over to her, wanting to take her hand, but thought she would probably get angry. "I - uh -" Spit it out you idiot! the voices sneered. "I'm sorry for making you feel uncomfortable. I like you, Michelle. I don't know how, and I don't know why," STUPID! "Okay, I know why. But, I do," he said, rather quickly, to get it over with. He felt like an idiot.

Michelle looked at him confused, confess what? she nodded slowly and hesitantly. She listened to what he said and had no idea what to say, "I - umm" she started and stared straight at him, "I think I - I like you too" she added quietly, barely above a whisper, "when you said you had lost count... I don't know I felt dirty... like a sl*t or something." gosh that sounded stupid.

Elijah's face lit up slightly as she said she liked him too. Maybe this wasn't going to be so bad after all. His face dropped, however, when she continued. "Michelle, don't think like that. You are definately not a sl*t. Definately. I never thought you were. Not even when you practically ran to the Room thingy." Thingy? Well done mate! He whinced slightly at his mind. Stupid voices. "So, yeah. That's what I needed to talk to you about," he said. Smooth. Real smooth, Lij!

"Thanks" she said with a smile, maybe he wasn't as bad as she had thought. "Room thingy?" she asked holding back a laugh, "i'm agreeing with the voices in your head" she added finally letting out her laugh. "Why were you so worried about what I was going to say?"

Elijah laughed. "Oh dear. Those blasted voices. So you're bagging me too!" he said, in mock offense, but he was trying hard not to keep laughing. He was being an idiot. When she laughed, he smiled. It was like music ringing in his ears. "I - uh - because, that's the first time I've ever done that!" he said, truthfully. He'd never told a girl he'd liked her, and meant it.

Michelle kept laughing and sat back, "these voices are quite smart" she said bitting her bottom lip to stop the laughter, she looked at his face, she could tell he was faking angry, "aw sorry, what can I do to make it better?" He was funny too. "Really?" she asked in shock, "I would have thought you would have told a lot of girls that" she shrugged.

Elijah laughed. "Well, there are a few things, but it's okay, you don't have to make it better." He sighed. What a f**king dolt you are Lij! He looked at her shock and wished he hadn't said that. "Well, I've said it. But' I've never said it before the girl said it. And I've never meant it."

Michelle chuckled, "well what if I want to?" she asked raising an eyebrow at him, she had no idea why he was calling himself a dolt but she decided not to ask him. Michelle nodded at his next comment, "I've never meant it ever" she shrugged.

Elijah smiled. "If you want to make it better, you can. But you have to think of a way," he said. He hoped he wasn't pushing it. "Yeah, well, this time I mean it. And well, it's up to you how you take it," he said, shrugging his shoulders, hoping she took it the way he wanted her too.

Michelle smiled back at Elijah and rested her hand on top of his, "maybe a kiss will make it better?" she asked. She nodded and smiled again, "I mean it this time too, and I think I'll take that in a good way" she added with a sigh.

Elijah looked down at his hand when she put hers on top of it. Smiling at her, he said, "Oh, a kiss might make it better." When she said she meant it as well, his smile widened. He was sort confused about her next line, so decided to clarify.
"So, umm, how good is that good way for me? Like, umm, what does that make us? Does it make us and us?" he asked stupidly. Oh.My.God. You are an idiot!

Michelle smiled back at Elijah and leaned up to him. She gave him a peak on his lips before she sat back down on the grass. "I don't know" she said with a shrug to his question, "depends whether you want us to be an us" she said and laughed out loud to his thought, "you can calling yourself an idiot" she added.

Elijah smiled when her lips touched his. Although the kiss was extremely short, he felt better already. "I would like us to be an us, but, do you?" he asked, tentatively. Gosh. He didn't know what he'd do if she rejected him. "I sound like an idiot. I'm having serious trouble stringing setences together," he said, shrugging his shoulders.
