Elijah smiled, sitting down beside her. "Hi Michelle. I'm Elijah. I'm new around here. It's a pleasure to meet you," he said, holding out his hand. "So, how bad do these flowers smell!"

"Nice to meet you too" she said with a smile still on her face. She saw him offer his hand and she took it, "Where are you from Elijah?" she asked polietly. "I know they stink!" she answered honestly, "not a fan of flowers?"

Elijah smiled and held onto her hand a little longer than necessary. She had soft hands. "I'm from Durmstrang," he said, thinking that the move here wasn't going to be such a waste after all. "Flowers are okay. Just not this many!" He shrugged his shoulders, relaxing casually into the bench. "So, what's good around here?"

"Durmstrang?" she asked, "what made you come here?" she asked, taking her hand from his slowly, his hands were warm. "Yeah, first time I've actually come down here" and probably the last time. "The only good places around here are the lake and the common room... wait what house are you in?" she asked stupidly, from what she knew the other common rooms weren't as good as the slytherin one.

"My parents got sent here on - uh - business," he said. He didn't really know if it was appropriate to say they'd come here to help out Kildara. "Yeah, well, I don't think I'll be coming back here. It's a bit overwhelming." He smiled when she asked what house he was in. "Hmm. The Lake. We had a lake at Durmstrang, but it was always covered in ice. The common room sounds good though. Slytherin, of course. You?"

Michelle laughed, "don't worry" she said shaking her head, of course he didn't know she could read minds, "I can kind of read minds" she said quickly so no one else could hear her. "yeah, i don't think i'll be back here" she shrugged, "well the lake here only gets frozen over in winter" she nodded when she said slytherin, of course best house ever, "same"

Elijah laughed. "A mind reader?" he said, in the same tone as she had said it. "So I suppose it doesn't really matter what I say around you because you know what I'm thinking!" he laughed. That could get dangerous. When she said she was in Slytherin as well, he smiled. "Well then. We'll be seeing a lot more of each other than," he said, throwing her a wink. He was starting to like Hogwarts. Especially if all the girls were like her!

Michelle nodded, "yeah, just please don't think dirty things around me... I get that enough when my brother wants to annoy me" she cringed at the thought of that. She chose to ignore the though he had next, sometimes she wished she could just turn it off. "I guess we will" she said smiling at his wink.

Elijah laughed. "Okay. I'll try not to," he said, smiling, almost mischeivously. This was going to be hard. "So, say a person knows Occlumency, and they shut off their mind, can you still read it?" he asked. If not, his mind was closing, tight, so he could think what ever he pleased.

Michelle almosted rolled her eyes at his smile... this was going to be very annoying for her, now someone else knew what annoyed her. She thought about his question and bit her bottom lip, "I don't know... no one has every tried to close their mind to me" no one else thought it was needed.

Elijah shrugged, his eyes flicking down to her bottom lip as it caught between her teeth. "Oh well. I'll do it, and then we'll work it out," he said, closing off his mind. He'd had to constantly walk around Durmstrang like this. Gets boring after a while.

Michelle nodded and paid close attention to his mind. She felt some type of barrier come up and she furrowed her eyebrows, "I can hear it but it's really... faint" she said relaxing, maybe someone should teach Alex that, so I can stop hearing his thoughts.

Michelle smiled back, "I'm a fifth year" she said with a shrug, "what about you?" this guy seemed really happy she couldn't read his thoughts as clearly as before, she was glad too.

"I'm in sixth. What are the teachers like? What calsses do you take?" he asked. He knew he was asking a lot of questions, but he wanted to be prepared.
