Raven headed down to the lake and took off her mask, she sat down, not really caring about her dress anymore. This was such a bad idea to go to the ball, you should have just stayed in the common room and then none of this would have happened. She thought and looked out at the lake. So much time had past since she last sat out here by herself, everything seemed to change from the way they used to be and nothing felt familiar to her anymore.

Lifting her dress a little, Bella ran down to the lake. It was slightly funny that she was already going back there after having left it just a little. Seeing Raven then she stopped and stood a few feet away from her. "Raven," she said softly. "Want to talk?"

"Sure I guess Bella" Raven said, looking at Bella when she was talking to her. "I just felt a wash of emotions crash over me when I saw Danika, then I realized that I was with Chris and no matter what I could do nothing would change that. I just wish everything worked the way I wanted it to, that way I'd be with Danika, my parents would still be alive and I'd be happy for a change. I know I can never have Danika again, but.. it seems like despite what pain she caused me, my heart's tell me to go for her again" She said softly. "The reason I slapped Chris across the face when he kissed me like he did the last time with his tongue in my mouth, is bedause I just felt sort of dirty to be kissing anyone like that again, it just reminded me of what I used to have and that's why I had to leave after that" She said without taking a breath in between.

Bella smiled and walked over to her, sitting on the ground after making sure it was dry. It really wouldn't do to have dirt stains on her dress later. "See this is why I said you should have let Danika know you were back when you got back," she said putting a hand on her back. "This way the wave of emotions would've crashed over you earlier and you'd be able to get through the night."
She sighed tried to think of what to say. "Danika's a good person to have as a friend Raven. But I really think that you won't be with her again, at least while we're in school." She knew that was hard to take in, but it had to be said. "Your heart may be wanting to go with him, but sometimes your heart can be wrong or partially wrong anyway."
It was kind of funny how Raven managed to tell her everything without taking a breath. "I know it may have felt dirty, but Chris now thinks that he's really bad with girls. Memories are good, but you need to think of hte good things, and at the same time think of the good things you have now. For example you would never have told Chris that you fancied him if you hadn't come back. And you can't tell me you didn't enjoy at least part of that kiss."

Raven listened to what Bella had to say and when she mentioned that her and Danika weren't going to be together, it hit her quite hard, she felt tears roll down her cheeks. "I just find it so hard to face the fact that I will never be with the one I've loved for so long. I think it was a huge mistake to even go to the ball, I should have just stayed in the common room like I had planned" She said, as the cold tears ran down her cheeks, ruining her mascara in the process.
"Well, actually I did like a bit of that kiss minus the part with his tongue in my mouth. And that's true, I would never have gotten to tell Chris how I felt. I don't have much in my life anymore to make me happy" She said softly.

Seeing the tears Bella felt really sympathetic and rubbed her back, stroking the younger girl's hair in the process. It had to be said though, even if it was going to hurt. "I know it's hard. I've had to deal with something like that myself recently as well. But you've got to focus on the one you have now, which is Chris." She shook her head gently. "No it wasn't a mistake Raven. If you'd stayed in the common room, this still would've happened sooner or later. You would've seen Danika and it all would've come back." The mascara could be fixed but if she fixed it now, it would just run again before she'd finished crying.
She smiled a little and shrugged a shoulder. "See. You have Chris to make you happy and that's really all you need. He wants to be the one to make you happy and if you gave him a chance he probably would. You're just not used to kissing guys as much as you are to kissing girls and guys when they realise your willing to kiss will take things faster than a girl probably would. If you let him know you want to take things slowly, he'll understand."

"I suppose you're right Bella. I guess I just have to deal with and not let it get to me anymore. Obviously spending time crying over this isn't helping me, and its also ruining my makeup" Raven said and smiled slightly.
"Well, I'll give Chris a chance. After all, I didn't just ask him to the ball just to make sure I had a date. I'll maybe tell him next time not to move things so quickly, because he did last time, I freaked and I just didn't want to do that, but now the damage is done and I probably made him the laughing stock of everyone at the ball for what I did" She said, shaking her head and thinking.

"I don't always like being right though," Bella said softly. "Cause sometimes it hurts a lot." She looked at Raven's panda eyes and shook her head laughing a little. "It's definitely ruined your makeup. Here." With a wave of her wand the tear stains had vanished and there was no damage. "Voila perfect."
Bella smiled happy to hear that Raven would give Chris a chance. "Good now we better get back to the ball before both our dates end up missing us." She stood up and dusted down her dress before holding out her hand and pulling Raven up as well. "The damage can be fixed. Yes some people laughed, but some people felt sorry for him and some didn't even see it. Only you can fix it Raven by apologising and letting him enjoy the rest of the night."

"Well, I'll apoligize to Chris. I should have explained to him that I'm bisexual, and unfortunately I have to compare his kiss to the last kiss I had which was with Danika" She said and sighed slightly. "But, I'll tell him that next time he needs to slow himself down." Raven said, and walked back into the school.
